The Director, Marketing & Partnerships is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support the Case Foundation brand and its initiatives. In addition to managing and developing marketing and promotional plans and campaigns, the Director, Marketing & Partnerships will play a large role developing and managing partnerships across all sectors.
The success of Case Foundation initiatives and campaigns will be dependent on strong promotion and partnerships with consumers, non-profits and the corporate sector. The responsibilities of the Director, Marketing & Partnerships are as follows.
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, monitor and manage ongoing marketing initiatives to raise the profile of the Case Foundation brand, drive traffic to Case Foundation websites, and maximize the Foundation’s profile at key industry events
- Develop, lead, monitor and manage certain Foundation initiatives related to marketing and promotions, including program concept, team meetings, core partner management, outreach strategy and evaluation and reporting
- Identify, secure, develop, and manage partner marketing relationships across multiple sectors, including major corporate, nonprofit/foundation and others to attract and engage more constituents in the initiatives and priority social issues of the Foundation, its grantees, and other partners
- Partner marketing will include cross-promotion of events and features, reciprocal links, placement of content, sponsorships, and paid placement
- Develop and continuously research/analyze marketing and communications efforts to ensure the highest return on investment and improve efficiency and impact; work with the web team to review web tracking statistics, and make recommendations for improving both online and offline marketing impact
- Manage the development and distribution of electronic newsletters and other marketing and communications vehicles in conjunction with the Director of Communications
- Promote web content, online and offline events, reports, publications, announcements, and other special programs and initiatives
- Coordinate marketing strategies and development of content, including promotional copy for campaign marketing materials with Director of Communications
- Manage online advertising buys for Foundation related promotions
- Develop content partnerships in conjunction with the Director of Communications
- Develop social media marketing strategy for campaigns and promotions in close coordination with the Director of Communications
- Manage vendors and consultants to develop and execute marketing plans and products; work with internal staff and contractors, including design firms, to develop creative materials to support outreach efforts
- Manage Foundation employees, consultants, and interns that are hired or volunteer to work on marketing and partnership-related initiatives
- Utilize creative thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills to direct partnership development and marketing campaigns that attract and engage a broad audience
- Contribute to Case Foundation blog on a regular basis, covering marketing related areas and develop customized blog series
- Manage the marketing budget for Foundation initiatives
Qualification
The Director, Marketing & Partnerships should ideally possess the following professional qualifications and personal attributes:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to think and write creatively
- Ability to lead projects and work independently; able to take initiative, think strategically and work creatively
- Perform in a high-energy environment and utilize strong organizational skills when faced with multiple time-sensitive priorities – a willingness to “roll-up sleeves” and personally handle all aspects of position
- Confidence and enthusiasm when communicating to both external partners and the internal team – a “can do” attitude
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, the ability to work effectively with others in a collaborative workplace
- High energy, self-motivated individual
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing, promotions and sponsorships/partnerships, including consumer and direct marketing experience
- Experience in building high-level corporate partnerships
- Online marketing experience including a high level of familiarity with online marketing tools and web analytics, including Google AdWords/Google Grants
- Demonstrated proficiency in effectively utilizing social media for professional purposes (blogging, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Experience putting together sponsorship packages
- Familiarity with nonprofit industry a plus
