As Father’s Day approaches, we all are starting to think of ways to recognize the men in our lives who have rejoiced in our triumphs, encouraged us to toughen up when the going got tough, and in some way or another, helped define the person we have become. Dads are faced with the privilege and responsibility of helping to lead their children toward a happy and healthy life, as well as inspiring their children to never give up and to always dream big—and for this we honor them everyday, especially on Father’s Day.
This year, we’re asking you to share how a special dad in your life has inspired you to Be Fearless by dreaming big—enter our Facebook Father’s Day sweepstakes now through June 20, and you will be entered to win one of three Nike+ FuelBands! The Nike+ FuelBand, which tracks your activity and measures your progress through time, calories, and more, is a great gift for the active Dad.
And speaking of gifts…each year, as Father’s Day rolls around, we hunt for a way to convey our love and appreciation for everything they have done. This year, instead of giving your dad the standard issue shirt and tie, how about giving your dad a gift that gives back?
Our dads have helped provide us with the inspiration and the opportunities needed to succeed—why not use Father’s Day as a time to help provide similar opportunities to others in need? Here is a list of Father’s Day gifts that are sure to make your dad happy and have a positive and lasting impact that helps others at the same time:
