Running short on time to find the perfect gift for that special someone? Inspired by all of the great #GoodSpotting moments being captured and shared, and in the spirit of our belief that a gift that gives is the best kind of present, the Case Foundation has collected a list of last minute gifts. Check out our ideas below, or make a donation in someone’s name to one of our partners [link to other blog] or to a cause they really care about!

  • Help protect our coral reefs in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, or Palau, by “adopting” one through the Nature Conservancy for $50. Your ocean-loving friend will get a gift card with the details of your donation.
  • Search for an opportunity to volunteer over the holiday to support our U.S. military veterans and their families through Or you can create your own project.
  • Recipients of Global Giving cards can go online to choose from projects like supporting classrooms with new supplies and tools, helping victims of wildfire, and providing blankets and heaters for a women’s shelter.
  • Through Facebook’s new Gifts program, you select a friend, and then choose from options under the Gifts that Give Back category like a FEED bag, gourmet subscription from Great Food for a Great Cause, or by making a donation directly to one of the featured nonprofit partners.
  • Magazine subscriptions are always a hit, and these days, you can pick print or digital versions. Give National Geographic to a travel lover, Ranger Rick to your animal loving little one, or the Stanford Social Innovation Review to someone looking to change the world.
  • Support a budding social entrepreneur on Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or StartSomeGood
  • Make dinner for your family, then enlist their help to make holiday dinners to drop off at a local shelter or food pantry.
  • Do a quick cleanout of gently used winter coats, sweaters and other accessories to bring to a church, shelter, or to give to a family in need.
  • Grab a friend and sign up to do a local holiday 5k walk/run/Polar Bear Plunge that supports a nonprofit.
