Last week we convened a savvy group of nonprofit network builders for a discussion to learn more about what they do and how they do it. After all, the field of network building is still emerging and the rules have yet to be defined. In fact, it would probably be antithetical to the notion of network building if we started putting a lot of rules in place, but there is much to be learned about how nonprofits are operating in a more networked way that is fundamentally changing the way they do business.

As Allison Fine pointed out in her first post recapping our discussion, there were a number of themes that came to light. While you can read all about them here, we thought it would be great if you could also hear (and see) directly from the network builders themselves.

The following videos were shot last week and highlight some tips and tricks that will help any organization better understand the necessary steps to take when looking to grow your network. We've divided the clips into three videos that each highlight two important themes. We hope you'll add to the discussion below and share these videos with CEOs, board members, program staff or anyone else in your organization who may need a little extra coaching or coaxing to understand the importance of the networked world.

*We used to have videos embedded here but with a site redesign in progress, the extra code was gumming up the works. The videos are still here, just below the post. Thanks for bearing with us and "please pardon our dust!"
