Video: Ask the Guru with Allison Fine

As we wrap up the third installment of our Gear Up for Giving Ask the Gurus session with author and activist Allison Fine, we are thrilled with the thoughtful and strategic questions the audience continues to email, chat and tweet in.

Below are a handful of key questions asked in Allison's session. If you missed it, watch the video recording to hear her answers and advice on how nonprofits can better use and leverage social media to achieve their goals.

  • What does it mean to take the idea of social media and create social culture?
  • What are some suggestions for creating an organizational policy for utilizing social media?
  • Is there a line between professional and personal on social networks?
  • How do we drive people to our social media venues?
  • How do you introduce high level nonprofit boards to your social media activities?
  • How important is it for nonprofits to monitor their brands on the social web?

Remember to tune in to the remaining live sessions, taking place every Tuesday and Thursday at 1PM EST through October 1. We still have an amazing line-up of the experts in the field of social media for social good to come and answer your questions. Send us your questions now to gearup [at] casefoundation [dot] org or tweet them using the hashtag #AGC.

Make sure you check out the recordings of Geoff Livingston and Katya Andresen if you haven't already, and come back for the next session with Marnie Webb, Co-CEO of TechSoup Global.

Update 9/23/09: The transcipt of Allison's Q&A session is now available!
