America’s Civic Health Index
22 Sep 2008The National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) is a non-profit organization, chartered by Congress, to advocate for civic participation in the US. America’s Civic Health Index (CHI) is an annual publication by NCoC, designed to educate Americans about the civic health of our country by measuring a wide variety of civic indicators, such as community service and political participation. The 2008 Index, entitled “Behind the Vote”, measures the ways in which civic participation in America has evolved as a response to the presidential election.
