WASHINGTON, DC –  The Case Foundation today unveiled a new video hub at www.casefoundation.org/videos and announced the relaunch of its CaseSoup channel (www.casefoundation.org/videos/case-soup), a source for videos produced exclusively by the Case Foundation team.

“We believe in the power of video to tell stories, serve as a teaching tool and provide additional transparency in our work,” said Jean Case.  “Over the past year, we’ve experimented with its potential through livestreamed Q&A sessions with social media experts, behind the scenes interviews at industry events, and we’re excited to reaffirm our commitment to using video to give our audiences insights into the topics they care about.”

CaseSoup programming will include:

  • Tutorials– from QR codes to location-based technology to sprucing up your Twitter profile, a series of instructional videos on the latest tools and technologies will be featured as part the Case Foundation’s commitment to helping the nonprofit sector innovate in using new social technologies for good.
  • Livestream– from TED to events co-hosted with strategic partners like the White House, these sessions will offer a live look at exclusive events through Q&A sessions with key leaders.
  • On Location– “from the field” features on grantees and their work, and reporting from key events like SXSW Interactive, the Nonprofit Technology Conference and others.
  • Interviews– personal stories and one-on-one interviews with the people who inspire us.

The next “Livestream” series is taking place from the TED Conference in Long Beach this week. The series, “Innovation + Entrepreneurship with the TED Fellows” will feature live Q&A with a select group of TED Fellows from Tuesday, March 1st – Thursday, March 3rd at 10:30am PT/1:30pm ET.  Anyone can submit their questions via Twitter by using the hashtag #tedfellows, by email to tedfellows@casefoundation.org, or through our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/casefoundation.  More details on the TED Fellows interviews are available at www.casefoundation.org/ted/longbeach2011.

In addition to CaseSoup, the video hub will also feature a variety of curated content from around the web on the topics the Foundation cares about, including social media for social good, philanthropy & giving, innovation & entrepreneurship and civic engagement.
