West Africa Water Initiative Alliance
Twelve international institutions, including the Hilton Foundation and USAID, are working together to increase access to water and sanitation, reduce water-borne disease, and ensure the sustainability of water resources for as many as 450,000 people living in Ghana, Mali, and Niger. Read more
The Millennium Water Alliance
In an effort to advance the goal of "reducing by half the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water by 2015," a group of U.S.-based non-governmental organizations came together to form the Millennium Water Alliance (MWA). Through their coordinated effort, MWA advocates for policies and resources, develops best practices, and helps disseminate information about safe water and sanitation.
Community Watersheds Partnership Program
The Coca-Cola Company, the Global Environment & Technology Foundation, and USAID are working together to ensure dependable sources of clean, safe water supplies; provide sanitation; support agriculture projects; and protect natural resources. Read more
